2022 awards -

  • City of Winslow, Arizona, $500,000 award from AZ Tourism and a $198,000 award for USDA Farmers Market Promotion Program

  • ​​Submitted a $4.7 million dollar request to EDA Indigenous Communities for White Mountain Apache Heritage Fund in Arizona; the full amount was awarded for capital improvements 

  • ​​International Sonoran Desert Alliance (ISDA) in obtaining a $268,236 award from USDA Rural Business Development for capital improvements

2021 awards -​

  • ​​Turtle Mt Band of Chippewa in North Dakota in obtaining a $596,000 award from US BJA COSSAP

  • ​​$530,000 award from HRSA for Heart City Healthcare for COVID vaccine access

  • $114,000 from Americorps RSVP for Interfaith Community Services

  • Total of $729,254 in grant awards for Middle Georgia Community Food Bank

2020 awards - ​

  •  $4.9 million award from USDA HBIIP (higher blend fuel) for a Midwest retailer

  • ​​$900,000 in CARES funding from the City of Tucson and Pima County for Interfaith Community Services

Other prior awards -

  • ​​In 2017 acquired a $250,000 contract with City of Tucson for TMM Family Services for whole home rehabilitation

  •  In 2016 I assisted TMM Family Services in acquiring $950,000 from Pima County and City of Tucson funds for their Senior Housing new construction project

  •  From July 1, 2015 to June 28, 2016 I obtained over $700,000 in grant awards for Feeding America Riverside San Bernardino including a $125,000 award from the Weingart Foundation and an $80,000 award from the Annenberg Foundation

  • Grant writing training for the Pima County Public Library, ongoing

  • June 2024 provided grant training for the community group organized by Tufts University

  • ​​May 2024 provided grant training for Community Food Bank Southern Arizona partner agencies

  • ​​November 2022 provided individual feedback to prior applicants for Community Foundation for Southern Arizona

  • ​​October 2021 provided a grant writing series for Community Foundation for Southern Arizona

  • ​​In January 2022 and 2021, a half day grant writing training for AZ Dept of Education

  • ​​In September 2019 provided two half day grant writing trainings for Community Foundation for Southern Arizona

  • ​​Grant writing training for Community Food Bank of Southern AZ in July and Aug 2018 for their Community Food staff

  • ​​Grant writing training in April 2018 for teachers as part of Community Food Bank School Garden training for teachers

  • ​​​Governance training at the Pima County Public Library Idea Space in 2019

Accomplishments - Smaller Organizations

Summary of accomplishments for clients, for ongoing grant writing services, 20 hours a month for $22,800 a year, average of four grant requests submitted each month

  • In December 2024, Carolyn identified 37 new funding prospects for AZ Cyber Initiative, an Arizona nonprofit, and created a grant tracker document and grant forecast for 2025 with over $300,000 in grant prospects

  • From July 2023 to June 2024, Carolyn identified 34 new prospects for JobPath and submitted 30 applications. Of total grant awards, $150,000 was from new funding prospects, for a total of $20,900 for my fees

  • During 2023, assisted Big Brothers Big Sisters of San Luis Obispo in obtaining $509,000; of that, $200,500 was from new prospects identified by Carolyn

  • During 2018 I obtained $267,000 in grant awards for Middle Georgia Community Food Bank including $70,724 in new grant funders

  • During 2014 I obtained over $235,000 in funding for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tucson, including a $160,000 award for their capital campaign
